What do mentors do?
Sproutback's Mentors provide assistance and advice for projects.
How can mentors help?
There is a wide range of ways that a mentor may be able to assist you with your project. Depending on your project, you may find that a mentor can help by providing advice and information on your project. A mentor might be able to suggest a manufacturer or make introductions to assist you directly with your project, or mentor advice could be more to do with how to handle running a business or creative project in general.
Mentor advice can be invaluable and could help you to make that next step with your project or provide you with a good foundation even if you should fail to meet you funding goal.
Who are the mentors?
Our mentors are experts in their fields and can provide advice across a range of categories.
You can find and sort through all of our mentors through our mentor page.
Are the mentors paid for helping?
All of our mentors are volunteers that have kindly donated their time to assisting with projects. That is to say that they are not paid and are 'giving back' out of the kindness of their hearts. Please keep this in mind when communicating and dealing with mentors, as we would hate for anyone to have a bad experience.
Will I always be able to find a mentor that can help?
As our mentors are volunteers you may not always be able to find a mentor that is available to assist you with your project. As is the nature of all the best mentors, they are often busy with their own endevours - we all do our best to be as available as we can, but occasionally we won't be able to find a mentor that is able to assist you.
What if I don’t want a mentor?
This is perfectly fine. Sometimes project creators have everything under control and would rather steer their own ship, and we completely understand when you want to do something yourself.
